Chef Trevor’s love of food and cooking began as a child. While most kids were watching cartoons Chef’s Saturday mornings were spent watching In the kitchen with Julia Child and Yan can cook on PBS. On Sundays while her cousins were outside playing games Chef was in the kitchen with her grandmother backing biscuits from scratch and tending to the Gumbo roux. Through traveling Chef Trevor’s pallet expanded from the traditional New Orleans cuisine she had grown up on to the international treats she would discover on her trips. Ultimately, this love of food and cooking would lead Chef to culinary school where career would begin.

​​While studying Culinary Arts at Delgado Community College Chef Trevor was introduced to her mentor Frank Brightsen of Brightsen’s Restaurant in New Orleans. Chef Frank took her under his wing and began to help Chef refine her culinary skills. After spending two years at Brightsen’s, Chef Trevor decided to study a new style of cooking and began working for John Besh and Alon Shaya at their James Beard award winning Italian restaurant Dominica. Moving up in the ranks at Dominica Chef Trevor would go from prep cook, to lead line cook and eventually production manager where she oversaw the restaurants catering events. After 6 years at Domenica and with the urging of friends and family Chef Trevor stepped out on her own and Catered To was born.
